Artificial water body
Water for life and livelihoods, River basin management plans, Glossary, Published by the Environment Agency in 2016, defines an artificial water body as: ‘A man-made water body, rather than a modified natural water body, which supports important aquatic ecosystems. It includes canals, some docks and some man-made reservoirs.’
